BSc graduate in Life and Medical Sciences at Tel Aviv University.
MSc graduate in Medical Sciences at Tel Aviv University and Sheba Medical Center Hospital Lipid Center. My masters research focused on the effect of beta-carotene supplementation on body weight, adipose tissue remodeling and inflammation in a mouse model of diet induced obesity.
After graduating, I worked for one year as a research associate in The Kauffmann-Green Skin Engineering Laboratory at Sheba Medical Center Hospital. In this lab, I participated in the development stages of a cell-based autologous skin graft biotherapy for treatment of severe burn injuries.
I've joined Ben's lab because of its multidisciplinary approach and personnel with diverse backgrounds that encourage creativity.
My project title is: "Skin-on-a-Chip – a humanized in vitro platform for simulating burn injuries in skin".
I believe in this project because my experience in cell therapy for burn wounds has highlighted the need for developing in vitro platforms that will be used to test new therapeutic approaches.
After graduating I aspire to continue to be engaged in scientific and medical research for the development of new technologies and therapies.
In my spare time I like to go bicycle riding.
