Liel Enkaoua

Intern

I completed my bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at University College London, with a focus on medical imaging.

I was initially drawn to the MaozLab by its crystal-clear vision and groundbreaking approach to research. Coming into the lab, I was determined to be challenged and leave a meaningful, lasting impact. Ben gave me the freedom and confidence to work on an ambitious project that I truly felt passionate about. Ultimately, it was the remarkable team of exceptional researchers within the lab that made this experience at the lab deeply rewarding.

During my time at the MaozLab, I was exposed to the breathtaking field of organs-on-a-chip and lab automation. I developed a high-throughput organ-on-a-chip robotic platform, which will serve as the foundation for future iPSC-linkage experiments at the lab.

I am returning to University College London for a master’s where I aim to expand my knowledge and explore a variety of scientific domains including robotics, machine learning, and low-level programming. My goal is to pursue a PhD in a field that deeply excites me within an inspiring research environment. Beyond that, I hope to leave a meaningful impact on the world while continuing to find joy and fulfilment in my work.
